Borne by the moon amidst the mystery of silence

Glimmering light illuminates higher aspiration

Sages and fools alike chase the lofty ideals

Of a myth spawned under pretense of serenity

 

Inception of legend cast in flickering periphery

Cautionary tales of the power of the unseen

Unwavering promises of the peace of heaven above

As whispering breezes bring a restless  calm

 

Unsettled discord between Gods and Goddesses

The troubled wanderings of our night sky’s deity

These things not of an earthly understanding

Shall never be perceived at such a frequency

 

To catch a mere glimpse is a blessing to behold

A shivering shimmer of protective light engulfs

This thirst for knowledge shackles us in darkness

Carnelian Skies

I walk the countryside of a vivid surreality

Under heat and haze of another wild night

Colors of my energetic travels set me free

Tempting imagination out into peculiar light

 

Eyes open wide with a wondrous curiosity

Amongst sights and sounds of a lucid dream

Storming the world with unwavering ferocity

Adversity transforms me under radiant gleam

 

Bulletproof under rays of a turquoise sun

Empowered by the vitality of carnelian skies

Confidence with an intensity never outdone

Under watchful protection of “Mother’s” eyes

 

Tightly clad in the adamantine armor of my dreams

Striding assuredly past my waking dread as I roam

Traveling along these oddly lit paths and streams

I give thanks to my guardians for seeing me home

Energized Calm

Peace of mind cannot be found

Within a wire so tightly wound

What is right and meant to be

Follows one specific frequency

 

The colors flow from outside to in

Endings only let new journeys begin

Sparks of life fire from inside to out

Illumination beyond shadow of doubt

 

Peaceful meadows found in the mind

Apprehensions and fears left far behind

Momentary attainment of crystal clear reason

While the perfections of earth all find a season

 

World gone mad from it’s worldly transgressions

It’s madness looms large leaving toxic impressions

A strength from deep down inside earth’s core

Brings about the healing power of possibilities galore

 

Our own inner serenity can be easily regained

No price to be paid, for it is freely obtained

A sacred space where we can be calmly subdued

Where we belong to recapture life’s quietude

 

The energy we carry must be spiritually lifted

To attune to the beauty we all have been gifted

Take a moment in time that is desperately needed

So that Gaia’s demands can be respectfully heeded

 

Work towards a oneness of both spirit and light

Harsh sun of day balanced by soft moon at night

Commune with your spirits, guides, and guardians all

Take your opportunity each day to answer their call

Higher Plane

I vividly remember being told so often

“Keep your head out of the clouds”

I remember it like it was just yesterday

Cautionary words from the so-called wise

“Daydreaming will only cause distraction”

Good thing I wasn’t much of a listener

 

I tucked those words away for a rainy day

As I was off to find another adventure

Whether borne of my wild imagination

Or found in the bright sun of my reality

My days WERE spent wisely as I see it

Contrary to my elders conservative beliefs

 

Somewhere along the way I grew up

Saw the ugly side of truth in this world

Found appreciation for the basis of those words

Yet still I refused to give up the many wonders

Gifted me by the heavens to let my mind wander

So I decided the only thing to do is compromise

 

Now with an arsenal of the best of both worlds

I  can attack reality with ferocity from every direction

I can swim with literary mermaids in a fictional sea

While slaying the dragons of the everyday world

Priceless the value of my double edged imagination

Kept razor sharp by the need for real world existence

 

So, to my elders, I say Thank You for your warnings

That I stored away for that rainy day inevitability

When childlike imagination was no longer an option

Thank you also for not enforcing the code too strictly

Letting me hone the skills necessary to walk the fine line

Between the two worlds that mean so very much to me

 

My discovery is what I wish to pass along to any and all

That fine line can not only be walked with grace and pride

But it can be twisted and turned into any direction you wish

My lessons are both simple and simultaneously very complex

If you listen carefully and follow the heart before the mind

You too will come to see the importance of fantasy in reality

 

I have discovered absolutely and with no uncertainty

The only way to rule your Kingdom on a higher plane

Is with your feet also planted securely on the ground

Surrounded

I can’t be bothered with all the things that make you leery

Listening to your rhetoric is enough to make me weary

I have pushed the limits of what is what and found but one validity

There is no weight aside from gravity to myths borne of stupidity

 

A coward seeks the things to fear that rationality finds benign

Weaker hearts will shudder at the shadows whispered sign

Another firm belief  based on narrow threads of confusion

Simple souls finding despair wrapped neatly in  illusion

 

Leave your numbered days behind and ignore the full moons calling

Let the sleek black cat find its path wherever its paws are falling

There is no luck to be gathered from a horses worn out shoe

Fortunes can’t be reversed by anything a newfound penny can do

 

Let me lead you to the truth down a path of less resistance

We are children of eternal energy that enlightens our existence

It surrounds and protects, all while quietly stoking our ambitions

Needing no recognition other than our dismissal of superstitions

Warrior DNA

I have seen the ravages of mortal combat

Spent my share of time “At the front”

Life or death walks a razor wire tight rope

Strung high above the fight for survival below

 

Adversity became my steadfast comrade long ago

Constantly at my side to test my earthly fortitude

That which does not kill only strengthens my resolve

As I have proven repeatedly and with great emphasis

 

Yes; adversity is not my enemy but rather my ally

It is the catalyst to my hunger for strength and knowledge

For I shall never join a battle ill prepared or uninformed

Wisdom tells me that awareness provides a deadly arsenal

 

So here I stand on this familiar ground once again

A new battlefield holds all the trappings of an age old war

My blood boils with the anticipation of adrenaline’s rush

As I step forward confidently to deliver my new rivals demise

Blood Red

A path gets dark and twisty in the deepest wood

Easy to forget not to stray from an overgrown path

When the rain comes down it’s time to don your hood

Beware the dangers of a forest filled with fury and wrath

 

Stay on course and hastily make your way

With a purpose in mind and a goal to achieve

Un-frightened by ominous sounds of the day

Oblivious to peril inside a land of make believe

 

A coarse growl penetrates the mist and rain

A guttural noise that would bring a chill to the bone

An ageless cacophony only resembling torturous pain

Sacrificial feast to be made of a lost soul found all alone

 

Confrontation of the seemingly naïve and innocent

Not a care in the world under fragility of trusting youth

Apparently without knowledge of the outcome imminent

Literally a “Babe in the woods” unprepared for nail and tooth

 

A simple task conveyed; a thoughtful visitation the mission

On this bleak and dreary, wet and treacherous morning

To continue onward, safe passage required permission

Unready for anything resembling conflict without warning

 

What would Grandmother say about this gruesome scene?

When hackles were raised and razor sharp teeth were bared

Flesh ripped from bone and the mist obtained a scarlet sheen

After the events were relayed, Grandmother only declared…

Times get tough and the obstructions go up

So hard not to be stopped by life’s blockades

Letting the bricks stack for far too long

While the optimism of the sun slowly fades

 

Icarus’s wings will surely melt away

If the white heat of hesitation exists

We must do all that we can to sustain

Ensuring every ounce of enthusiasm persists

 

Reaching new heights only to have wings clipped

Would be the very definition of catastrophe

A majestic bird of prey is awe inspiring to behold

Until it suffers the loss of ability to fly free

 

Fear not the height of the wall or heat of the sun

Take strides confidently in a new direction

See to it that walls of self doubt come crashing down

In order to observe the sun ascend on perfection

 

Look to the sky and prepare to take flight

As nothing outshines the brilliance of your destiny

Do not look back to what once kept you caged

Focus only on what was always meant to be

Which came first?

A pointless question unless balanced

With the knowledge of purpose

 

One cannot exist without the other

Each has its critical role to play

Within this unending prosperity

 

It matters not at all

Which witnessed the first dawn

As both are of equal importance

 

Yet the debate lives

Not merely to continue, but to thrive

In the tiny minds of the short sighted

 

All the while

The balance is kept steady

By the strength of Libran harmony

 

Unwavering are these scales

Under the monumental strain of confusion

One true purpose shines in bright crystalline

 

Order is of no importance

When coexistence is ruled by synchronicity

And the greater purpose is fulfilled

 

Ruled over by perfect balance

Under protection of a devoted Pisces sky  

No limits shall ever exist

 

To those who ask meaningful questions

Some Days

Woken by another head splitting ache

Dead between the eyes and all the way through

I rise again, yet it seems only for rising’s sake

No more dragons to slay, or wild dreams to pursue

 

Eyes bloodshot and weary from their distorted view

Following another interminable nights toss and turn

I should be accustomed to it after all, it’s nothing new

Day after day, night after night, same old crash and burn

 

Another day, another dollar in debt and the well gets deeper

Hard to survive one more day on the unforgiving mean streets

Slave to the grind, yet I continue to be thy masters keeper

As adversity sees that this dark and hardened heart still beats

 

Comedy and tragedy hide behind a single mask these days

The moon shines bright as if to mock the suns power

Imitation is a weak defense against Sol’s sovereign rays

Yet the hand of uprising will inevitably strike a new hour

 

What is to become of this wars seemingly broken soldier?

I tell you not to spend another second of needless worry for me

For I have the wisdom of ages alongside this chip on my shoulder

 My vengeance will be lightning quick and crystal clear for all to see

 

“Fight the good fight” is a very questionable concept indeed

When, in the end, fighting dirty is the only way to win

“Some days you are the hammer, and some the nail” ; agreed

So call me transgressor if my warfare of self defense is a sin

 

Yes, I have been both the Hammer and the Nail

Enough to know that the hammer only wins if swung

For my aggressors I have one message that will prevail

And for them then, Hells Bells shall be loudly rung

 

I am most certainly the Hammer

And I always come out swinging
